COVID-19
To all our valued guests,
As you know, the City of Austin has now issued a Shelter in Place and closure of all non-essential businesses until April 13, 2020. While we would never classify our business and "non-essential," it would be impossible to abide with current social distancing rules while giving you, our valued guests and friends, the level of service you deserve. Also, we want to do our part to flatten the curve and keep as many people well as possible, which is why we made the incredibly difficult decision to close last Friday.
All appointments currently on the books are staying on the books for reference purposes only. Tricia has disabled the notifications, so hopefully you won't be receiving any unnecessary emails and texts. Even though we are planning to possibly reopen on April 15, 2020, we have no way of knowing if that will actually happen. With all of these appointments available for reference, we will know who was scheduled with whom and for which services. It will make re-booking your appointment easier in the future.
While we are looking forward to the day this is all over and we can go back to business as usual, the hard facts remain: this going to royally f*ck up your hair, your bikini line and our business. We have some ideas...
Your Hair
Take this time to give your hair a break from heat styling, at least once a week. Your hair will thank you for it! Trust!
Deep condition once, twice, three times a lady, er, week! ...just not everyday. Build up happens.
For the love of God, do not box dye your own hair! We are all in the same boat, ladies. No judgement! It'll be easier and less expensive to fix what has grown out than have to color correct crap dye. Try a hat, scarf or let Tricia know if you need root touch up spray for that special occasion when you take your wine into the other room.
Stay tuned for instructional videos from Craig on how to cut your own bangs. Seriously. This. Is. COMMMINNNG!
Your Skin
Give your skin a break by going make-up free. Just kidding!
Take this time to really take care of your skin. Gentle exfoliation and a quality mask followed by a luxurious moisturizer and a good night's sleep two to three times a week will have you getting carded at the liquor store post haste!
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! Don't forget the sunscreen!
What about waxing? Girl, Ros is not a fan of tweezing or shaving if you regularly receive waxing services from her. Just let it go! Pretend it's the 70's. Word on the street is the bush is back...
Our Business
Many of you have asked how you can help and we are so appreciative! Booking appointments helps, but since we don't know when we can really start that process, here are some other ideas...
You can support our business by purchasing an online gift certificate to use for your future appointment(s). We will honor any amount you choose for as long as you have it and we will love you forever and ever! Be sure to include the service provider you see and which service(s) you'd like in the "message" section. If you don't know, it's fine. Forgive the tacky designs.
You can also support our business by purchasing retail hair or skin care products. Just let Tricia know who your service provider is and what products you need and she can arrange payment over the phone and a socially distant drop-off or pick-up.
Early bird special: Purchase 3 or more hair care products, receive a complimentary L'oreal root touch up spray! Purchase 3 or more G.M. Collin skin care products and receive a complimentary G.M. Collin Shower Gel! While supplies last. Ka-KAAW! Ka-KAAW!
Thank you to everyone who read this email all the way to the bottom. It was a big one. Thank you for choosing to support our business for almost 3 years! Here's to 30 more! Thank you for making it fun to come to work everyday! We love and appreciate every single one of you and we miss you, terribly. It's gonna be sooooo much fun when this is all over. Just think of all the weird stories we'll have to share! Until then, stay positive, take care and be well!
Respect, love and health,
The Craig Piatti Salon Family
