We are thrilled to inform you that Craig Piatti Salon is now a Certified Green Circle Salon! This means that 95% of our salon waste is diverted from landfills and being recycled. 95%!! We have always recycled what we could through the City of Austin, but were limited to paper, plastic, glass and aluminum - all of which had to be “clean” (no food or chemical residue present).

Green Circle takes it to an entirely new and wonderful level. The hair we sweep up after your haircut is sent off, washed and turned into booms that are then sent to oil spills (since they are made from hair they can then be washed and reused). The excess color and bleach from your visits are sent off and the oils/water/etc are broken down and separated – the water is then filtered and put back out as usable water. The metals from the hair color foils are melted down and reused for other purposes. Single-use items, such as, wax strips, cotton, caps, gloves, etc. are incinerated in a protected facility to create clean energy. The list goes on and on and we are so thankful for the opportunity to do our part in giving back to the environment and improving our earth for generations to come!

Green Circle works only with hair salons and Craig Piatti Salon is including a $1.50 - $3 environmental fee per salon visit, which will be added to your service totals.
